Desired Skills:
• Education – Clear and good track record throughout academics. Engineering / MCA from recognized and reputed institute.
• 1+ years of strong Experience of technically leading a team or equivalent role.
• Experience of translating business requirements to high/low level designs. Experience of components and application level designs. Experience of industry standard design and coding standards.
• Proven experience, within a structured or matrix managed project environment, of undertaking full Technical Lead project responsibility for all stages of the development life cycle.
• Proven experience of working as interface between build and test teams and engaging in problem investigation and resolution.
• In depth knowledge of client side and server side java development using Core Java, J2EE APIs, design patterns, XML (Parsing & Schema) OO design techniques.
• Working knowledge of various Software Development Methodologies and ability to apply them to specific projects. At a minimum SDM’s should include: Waterfall, RUP, Agile, Scrum, test driven development and continuous integration.
• Strong in relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of unit test frameworks, their implementation and process integration (JUnit, Selena, etc.).
Desired Candidate Profile
• Provide technical leadership in order to produce system designs and architecture leading to a system that is scalable, robust and flexible.
• Provide technical leadership of the system by taking end-to-end ownership of all technical aspects, including monitoring output of others, implementing best development practices, inputs to project planning and proactively improving system scalability, robustness, performance and flexibility.
• Contribute effectively to projects by preparing and getting agreement on designs and architecture, leading code reviews and taking parting in software development.
• Assist the Team Lead with planning by providing robust estimates for development tasks.
• Issue Management (including problem analysis and generation of solutions); Change Management; Test Management; Status Tracking & Reporting.
• Regular and ad-hoc reporting to status/progress to Team Lead/Project Manager, including escalation of issues and exceptions.
• Interaction with numerous business groups (Operations, Middle Office, Front Office, Risk, and Finance etc.) throughout the full project lifecycle, and with other IT teams as appropriate.
