Senior Software Engineer
Job DescriptionDescription: Translates logical design into physical program specifications . Develops and integrates IT solutions (e.g. application module code, purchased package customization) by using appropriate development methodologies and standards, applying standard architectures/patterns, taking into account critical performance characteristics, security measures and customer requirements . Collaborates with System Designer/Analysts, Architects and Senior Developers to establish the physical application framework (e.g. libraries, reuse modules, development environments) . Develops and executes unit test plans to validate that application modules meet technical specifications . Participates in technical inspections at appropriate stages of development . Creates production support documentation . Works with Operations Analysts, System Designer/Analysts and other developers to prepare and stage production builds, and verify production releases meet technical and business expectations . Performs data migration/conversion activities ***Will be primarily working on Design and Development of Java/J2EE deliverables for the project.

4+ yrs overall IT experience including:
. 4+ yrs. of JAVA EE development experience
. 4+ yrs of experience with Java, XML
. 4 + yrs of experience in EJB, Servlets, JSP,
JDBC
. 4 + yrs of experience in (SQL / ORACLE / DB2 / SQL server)
. 3+ yrs of experience in JUnit
. 3+ yrs of experience in UML
. 3+ yrs of experience with WSAD / RAD / Eclipse
. 3+ yrs of experience with WebSphere application server or equiv (Weblogic, JBOSS, Glassfish)
. 1+ yrs of experience with PVCS or equivalent
. 2+ yrs of experience with Struts (MVC) framework
. 2+ yrs of experience with Object Oriented Analysis and design concepts
. Knowledge of core JAVA EE patterns
. 2+ yrs Web Services Design / Development experience
. 2+ yrs experience with Object to Relational Persistence (Toplink, Hibernate, JPA.)
. 2+ yrs experience with Cryptography, Authentication, Authorization, Single Sign On, Message Level Security
. Major contribution to multiple projects
Strong Java (J2EE) developer skills with experience in systems designSolid experience with J2SE
Experience with J2EE(Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, JMS, SOAP, Web Services) skills, Struts framework
Experience using enterprise middleware technologies like JMS(IBM MQ Series over JMS)
Ensures technical inspections are performed at appropriate stages of development .
Experience in JUnit,cactus
Experience in RAD/RSA development tools and WebSphere 6.x Application Server
Experience in ORM too like Toplink/Hibernate
Knowledge of XML and XML Schema.
Knowledge of using JAXB.
Knowledge of Webservices using RESTful framework
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Experience of designing and implementing object-oriented solutions utilizing recognized design and architecture patterns
Experience in UML diagrams(Class/Sequence diagrams)
Experience in creating JSP Custom Tags
Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
Strong understanding of Enterprise Systems of Record, data models and process models
Solid knowledge of MVC Architecture
Strong ability to work within a team environment and with all levels of management and business areas
Solid experience with J2SE
Experience with Javascript and Ajax
Energetic and willing to learn new things

Source Control Management experience such as pvcs, cvs,svn
