Should be superb at developing applications in C++
Must be a good, disciplined and fast coder.
Must have STL and/or ACE and/or Rogue Wave C++ working knowledge.
Must be proficient in using SQL via C++ language.
Must posses very good detailed knowledge on threading and using various
synchronization primitives available on Linux/Solaris.
Detailed data structures knowledge on: Hash tables, heaps, trees, lists,
queues, etc. is mandatory
Linux and/or Solaris detailed knowledge necessary on topics such as:
System calls, signal handling, memory map, shared memory, semaphore, File
I/O, asynchronous I/O, Shared library handling.
Experience in investment banking is a plus but not mandatory
Experience in developing time sensitive, machine critical real time
applications is plus but not mandatory.
Post graduate qualification in Comp Science or equivalent is a plus but
not mandatory.

Department Overview: The Global Arbitrage Trading (GAT) group operates a
comprehensive range of statistical, fundamental, opportunistic and
derivatives-based trading strategies in all the major global equities,
fixed income, commodities and FX markets, maintaining a presence in New
York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Korea and Australia. The GAT technology
team provides technology services to Global Arbitrage Trading business.
