Senior/Lead Web 2.0 Engineer, Kolkata (Full-Time) Description
The senior engineer/lead would help in planning, delegating roles, and maintenance of the website. The engineer must have hands-on experience with prior exposure in developing and deploying Web 2.0 platform. Our platform of choice is LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). We are looking for technically strong individual with a prior experience in one or more of these platforms: any CMS such as Drupal, Joomla; any LMS such as Moodles; any PHP Framework such as Zend, Cake, Jake
Senior/Lead Engineer, Kolkata (Full Time) Responsibilities
Design and build front-end and back-end infrastructure
Manage database and servers
Load balancing and performance optimization.
Create web applications primarily in LAMP
Junior Engineer Description
The junior engineer would help in design, development, and maintenance of the website. The engineer must have done projects in PHP/MySQL. Our platform of choice is LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). We are looking for technically motivated individual with good english. Any prior experience (not required) in one or more of these platforms: CAKE, JAKE, Drupal, Joomla, Moodles or similar platform would be helpful.
Junior Engineer Responsibilities
Design and develop front-end and back-end
Support database and servers

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications (Senior Engineer or Team Lead)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Expertise in 2-3 of these PHP, MySQL, AJAX, C++, Perl, Python, and Linux
Knowledgeable in Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress or other CMS.
Knowledgeable in PHP frameworks.
Knowledgeable in Moodles or other LMS.
Entrepreneurial drive, vision and heart!
Experience of at least 3-5 years
Proficiency using Internet-based technologies such as search engines, directories, business and social networking sites and more.
Knowledge and interest in education.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, great attitude and ability to focus on details.
Complete the work in time with 1-2 junior engineers.
