Manager - QA
Job Description
Technical Skills:
a. Ability to understand the architecture, scope & timelines of product(s) & identify automation requirements in test cycles
b. Strong QA methodology, process, leadership and knowledge of Configuration Management best practices and techniques
c. Good understanding in test automation framework and API’s and lead the automation activities of the Quality Engineering teams (multi-tasking across different projects)
d. Plan, Estimate, Design, Build, & Implement the framework and automated test cases
e. Recommend and Implement project specific automation framework enhancements
f. Working knowledge of basic programming and scripting concepts
Managerial Skills:
a. Have worked on fixed price/SLA based programs – at least one, two preferred – Mandatory
b. Mid to large size projects/programs – 25+ people project
c. Strong QA strengths, QA Processes & estimation methodologies expertise
d. Very strong in Risk management and mitigation
e. Only hands-on managers – people who have the ability to drill down in the results and deliveries to figure out problems, make correct assessment
f. Highly metrics driven – can get metrics in place quickly and use and explain the program status using that
g. Very good in reporting and interacting with client
Behavioral Skills:
a. Passion towards QA
b. Should have worked as first level manager with hands-on experience for at least 3-4 years
c. Can work as first level manager with same ease if needed
d. Provide timely test status reporting to Management
e. Drive the team to achieve the desired goals
f. Must have strong communication & interpersonal skills
