PHP Developer & Senior PHP Developer
Job Description
*Develop web applications / e-commerce solutions using open source technologies like (but not limited to) PHP4, PHP5, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Smarty, XML, AJAX, JQuery
*Test the code to ensure flawless execution of the same
*Document the code, libraries and related components to ensure re-usability and extensibility of the work done
*Share knowledge, code snippets and components with other programmers in the team for collaborated team learning and re-usability of code / modules.
*Quickly create proof of concepts for clients and help estimating project effort
*Handle multiple projects by prioritizing delivery schedules
*Communicate directly with USA based clients and act as a consultant to them for their needs
*Continually upgrade knowledge as per industry demand and adapt to new technologies to fulfill project requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
You must have extensive knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, C, PHP, HTML (without the help of an HTML WYSIWYG editor), JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, Sendmail, Sessions, Background Processes, Resource Allocation and Apache along with solid experience - no exceptions!
You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, code, test and deploy several Web projects with minimal assistance. You should know how to build a PHP web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code. You should know C, PHP & MySQL like the back of your hand.
Above all, you must be passionate about programming for the web. If you have always gone out of the way to do / experiment things and have pet projects to show from your college days / previous employment, you are more likely to get hired.

Experience in osCommerce, Zen Cart, Magento, Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, Facebook API will be considered a plus.
