Job description
This position will put the individual in a dynamic role to maintain, create and modify Data Exchange PHP web applications for consumer portal americasjobexchange.com. Experience with core Java and preferable J2EE stack is required to allow porting of existing PHP applications to Java.
Responsibilities:
• Develop web based PHP applications for new products for “Americas Job Exchange” career portal.
• Enhance existing Data Exchange application to meet growing business requirements of the portal.
• Port existing PHP applications to Java and create new applications in Java as required.
• Develop a crawler to get feeds from other career portals and store them to AJE database.
• Monitor and maintain Python scripts for Data Exchange system.
• Work closely with J2EE developers, to solve problems and improve Python scripts written for Data Exchange.
• Generate reports on Data Exchange.
• Regularly review status of Job/Resume custom feeds imported or exported through Data Exchange scripts.
• Coordinate with US team for the projects assigned on regular basis.
