Desired Candidate Profile
4+ years of strong hands-on knowledge and experience of all of the following:
• Java 1.4 +, J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, XML, JMS)
• Good experience with an industry standard MVC framework like Struts/Struts2 or Spring MVC.
• Browser based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.)
• Web Server – Tomcat and Apache
• Commercial Application Server – preferably WebSphere
• Unit testing framework like Junit
• Oracle and/or MySQL – SQL, Procedures, Triggers etc.
• Unix/Linux development and deployment environments
• Subversion or CVS
• Build tools like Ant and Maven
Experience on following will be an added advantage
• Spring framework
• EJB 3.0, JPA or Hibernate and JDBC
• SOA, Web services, SOAP
• AJAX, JSF etc
• PHP
• Lucene
• Python
• SiteMesh and FreeMarker
• JBoss, Glassfish

• Design and development of customer-oriented web application and provide mentoring and support to more junior engineers
• Documentation of design specifications.
• Unit test case creation and Unit testing using JUnit
• Investigate and fix web application defects while effectively managing the defect lifecycle using a defect tracking tool.
• Reviewing Code and Unit Test Scripts
