We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is a star performer with a thorough understanding of testing methodologies, a passion for quality, a strong technical background to advance our test processes, and a desire to make improvement on testing issues around performance, stress, security, reliability, and more.
This is great opportunity for an experienced SDET to work in a fast paced and exciting test team at RMS who will drive test development, writing high quality code that will improve test automation of new and existing features of RMS products.
This is also a role as a developer who likes to break things requires wearing multiple hats in test driven software development where you can be:
• As the test owner you should strive to become a domain expert.
Your responsibilities will include participation in design, functional and test specification reviews, providing feedback on these, produce test plans and test specifications, design and implementation of test automation using C# and XML.
Investigation of, and reporting of, test results. Risk Modeling technologies are notoriously difficult to test and you will be challenged to create test solutions that stress your creative and engineering skills.
• As a seasoned contributor you will have the opportunity to leverage your experience to drive improvements in our team’s engineering process and supporting infrastructure and test framework overall; where you must be able to tackle technical and engineering issues independently, can ramp up quickly on a new technology, can drive cross group and cross discipline collaborations to come up with effective feature additions and enhancements that will improve automation results in terms of run time and reliability.
• As a test tools developer, wearing this hat you would gather the requirements for the test tools design and implement them to enhance the test output and productivity tightly coupled with the test feature teams chasing the product release dates and deliverables.
. As the customer advocate you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the world of Risk Management software development.
Experience and Qualifications:
• 4+ years of proven track record in test planning (test planning, test case development), test execution (doing API-level testing, end-to-end integration testing, stress and performance testing).
• 4+ years of software design, and development in C++, C# and .NET
• A hand on experience with, ADO .Net, XML, SOAP/HTTP, ASP.NET, IIS or Web Services is a must.
• 2+ years in Windows Systems Administration & Monitoring is highly preferred.
• 2+ years in SQL (SQL language using a DBMS to develop database driven test queries, sp & applications, database administration)
• 2+ years in software engineering and/or configuration management (VB, XML, WMI and command shell knowledge)
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (VBS, Powershell, etc…)
• Solid understanding of Internet Information Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with networking sniffers and working knowledge about how network protocols work.
• User/Kernel mode debugging, remote debugging and WINDBG experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent technical skills, attention to detail, strong debugging and problem solving skills.
• Strong customer focus and a passion for doing the right thing for the customer.
• Strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills.
• Self-driven and ability to work in a team to research innovative test solutions.
• BS in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience required.
• Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
