Job Description
In this position, you will be involved in the customization of
complex and exciting new features for 2Wire's Gateway product and
associated peripherals.
You will work with a team of high energy individuals to define,
document, and implement a variety of technologies.
You will be part of the Professional Services Software team,
responsible for the customized software features going into the
Gateway product line & Install CDs.
You must be familiar with software engineering concepts that
include but are not limited to feature definition, architecture
design, implementation and unit test.
Successful candidate is someone who enjoys dealing with
abstractions and working through complex problems to find the
root cause and solving them.
Great verbal and written communication skills are a must as
you will work closely with other development teams as well as
the Quality Assurance team.
This position may perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
BE or equivalent; ME preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience required
Experience with C and C++ programming
Experience in Windows & Networking/Socket Programming
Experience in Linux
Experience with HTML, XML, XSLT, Javascript, CSS, MFC, Registry, OO Design and other basic UI technologies
Knowledge with networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ATM, routing protocols, 802.11x is a plus
Knowledge of programming models such as, unix processes, and threads
Knowledge of shell programming
Knowledge of source control management systems
Excellent verbal and communication skills
