Information Sys Engineer
NetApp has an exciting and challenging opportunity for you to be a Information Systems Engineer with our Engineering Support team.
Job Requirements
• Use scripting & programming to automate the Operational activities.
• Design the tools & actively participate in developing & deploying the tools which is helpful in increasing Engineering productivity.
• Self driven towards evaluating advanced technologies & recommending the right solutions.
• Perform monitoring and maintenance of overall Systems and Applications.
• Technical feasibility study of a service definition and solution need.
• Provide troubleshooting for assigned level, operating system upgrades, capacity planning and provisioning on a daily basis.
• Update process documentation and team websites as required.
• Provide in depth implementation plans, task lists, level of effort estimates, test plans, whitepapers and various other service delivery templates as needed.
• Provide analysis of performance while identifying issues and working with experienced team members for resolution.
• Manage load configurations and provide recommendations for improving performance.
• Work with Team members on review of entire environment and executing initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call.
• Provide support for the entire service life cycle.
• Be able to focus and work on multiple projects.
• Participate in team meetings, as requested, to provide technical input for solution discussions.
• Communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding service outages/issues & recommend solutions.
• Manage equipment tracking (e.g. racking, decommissioning, etc.).
• Perform off-hour change controls.
• Guide the junior Team members on best practices & Infrastructure maintenance.
Experience
• A minimum of 6 years of experience is required. 8 to 11 years of experience is preferred.
• A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Sciences, or related technical field is required; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
