Technical Content Design & Development
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for content design, development and occasional delivery of both technical and business/process learning solutions for customers, internal employees and external partners.
Essential Functions:
* Design and develop content for instructor-led learning solutions
* Design and develop content for alternate delivery methods for learning solutions.
* Define and manage personal project development schedules.
* Write design documents.
* Develop or modify courses, modules, and or learning objects as specified in project plans.
* Develop courses using alternative delivery media.
* Build and maintain personal technical proficiency on NetApp products and solutions.
* As part of a team of developers, manage project schedules and collaborative development efforts.
* For lab designed lab exercises, perform unit testing and end to end testing of the entire course.
* For lab designed lab exercises, determine new equipment requirements, research and make expansion recommendations.
* Develop learning assessments to measure participant learning.
* Teach train-the-trainer sessions or pilot classes.
Qualifications:
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good interpersonal communication and collaborative relationship building skills are needed.
* May work with outside contractors or vendors as part of the project team.
* Solid understanding of data storage-related technologies.
* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and tools like Captivate.
* Ability to apply course development standards, templates, and style sheets.
* Ability to follow standardized development processes and procedures.
* Demonstrated experience in managing to project schedules on both an individual and team basis.
