Tech Lead
Job Description
1. Analyze, design, develop, test and deploy application programs using SQL and PL/SQL including packages, procedures, functions in EDW environment
2. Design effective and efficient data warehousing solutions, utilizing industry standard methodologies/techniques
3. Define realistic data warehousing application specifications using techniques such as business modeling, entity-relationship modeling, logic/data flow, data structures, etc.
4. Identify and resolve database performance issues using optimization techniques
5. Participate in various phases of the data warehousing system development life cycle (SDLC) including estimation, project planning, database analysis and design, SQL coding and testing.
6. Proficient in UNIX, with very good knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripts
7. Design, develop and integrate UNIX shell scripts as required
8. Work with team(s) of software engineers and developers on multiple and complex software development project with a primary focus on creating conceptual data models with standards
9. Lead team(s) to ensure the milestones are reached on time and deliveries are made on time with quality
10. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members in the areas of programming techniques, structural methods, testing procedures, business processes and Documentation
11. Review of Codes and Other relevant artifacts to endure bug free deliverable
12. Coordinate with on-site lead(s)/Manager(s)
13. Report to the Project Manager on daily/weekly progress of activities
14. Learn new technologies as needed and be a role model to the team members
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory Skills:
* Must have working experience into Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX and Shell Script
Desired Skills:
* Exposure to Data Warehousing Concepts, Teradata SQL/BTEQ and Utilites will be an added advantage
** Applicant must be ready to relocate to Bhubaneswar for his/her posting.
