Designation Software Engineer - C++/JAVA
Job Description
This is a middle level software engineer position with responsibilities focusing on the design, development and maintenance of high-quality code for complex components in Symantec’ security products.
Works with minimal supervision on well-defined, specific tasks.
May author complete sections of functional spec/design under supervision or guidance of more senior development team members.
Designs, develops and maintains high-quality code for simple to complex components of a product, focusing on implementation.
Collaborates with team members or other groups in writing functional, design, and interface specifications and prototypes.
Follows the software lifecycle process when developing software.
Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.
The candidate should be highly motivated, dynamic, a great team player and should possess strong analytical as well as verbal and written communication skills as the job will involve extensive communication will teams in other locations in and out of Pune.
Desired Profile Exposure to the following technologies:
Java: Basic & advance.
C,C++,Algorithms, Windows internals, expertise with network programming on Windows, Linux.
Optional: Networking stack, details of TCP/IP, HTTP protocols.
Exposure to Windbg, Visual Studio, gdb.
Very good problem solving & solution providing skills.
